During the epoch of galaxy formation, the Universe switched from nearly homogeneous to very inhomogeneous, so a more accurate metric is needed, according to which _mass density is allowed to curve space._ With [[http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2013JCAP...10..043R][more accurate]] modelling, [[https://arxiv.org/abs/1706.06179]["dark energy" is not needed]] ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6ZN6FMSoFo][video]]), and instead seems to be a misinterpretation of the epoch of structure formation if inhomogeneous curvature is ignored in interpreting observations. The corresponding [[http://mnras.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/full/stv041?ijkey=vzL4X4D0UVoYSTO&keytype=ref][inhomogeneous metric can be measured]] using the [[http://mnrasl.oxfordjournals.org/content/456/1/L45.full?ijkey=SFLEIJ0cgPZDtyz&keytype=ref][shift in the baryonic acoustic oscillation]] (*BAO*) peak location recently discovered by TCfA cosmologists together with international colleagues.
