These should reach the IAC before June 30th. Selected > candidates will be informed by September 7th. My guess is they probably need to apply for funding or pay something in advance, but they also ask for 1300 euros registration fee - this includes accommodation for 13 days. A normal registration fee for a big conference can easily be 300 euros, so this would make about 77 euros/day for accommodation (including food - "full-board"). Sounds strange and expensive to me. But if someone wants to go and can get funding, it could be a good winter school. pozdr boud From Agata.Karska w astri.uni.torun.pl Tue Jun 26 14:52:15 2007 From: Agata.Karska w astri.uni.torun.pl (Agata Karska) Date: Tue, 26 Jun 2007 14:52:15 +0200 (CEST) Subject: [Cosmo-torun] Canaries CMB winter school 19-30 November 2007 - deadline 30 June Message-ID: <1918.89.229.27.144.1182862335.squirrel@sunmail.astri.uni.torun.pl> I've just come back from another conference organized in Canary Islands. Deadline for abstract was January 31st but in practice I was able to submit mine until May 10th (!). The place is very expensive (77 euros/day are not so much surprising) but I suppose they will have good sources of funding for participants and everybody interested should at least try to ask them about it.
