new cosmology PhD student(s) @TCfA for Oct 2005r ?

Witam, This is the cosmo-pl mailing list - which hasn't been used much :). The idea is for discussion about cosmo research in Poland, so that not only the "inside group" get to know what's happening. It's not supposed to be nationalistic (though i guess if we repeat the word Poland often enough then we may get more cosmology funding: do i=1,100 print*,"Polska! Kosmologia dla polaków!" enddo ;) Anyway, more seriously, a bit of gossip is that several of us will be at the einstein 2005 conference in Paris next month: http://einstein2005.obspm.fr/list_particip.php A najpraktyczne pytanie jest: jeśli znasz student na końca magistera, który chce zrobić kosmologię tu w TCfA, proszę go polecasz o kontaktu (chyba poza listu, bo to raczej prywatny niż publiczny sprawy). ,,Moj" pierwszy doktorant już jest w Japonii, więc chyba mamy miejsce dla nowy(ch) doktorant(ów) w kosmologii. BTW: Wolne zasoby edukacyjne dotyczący kosmologii w po polsku rozwijają się - jeszcze to trochę słabo, ale mamy początek treści pod GFDL (GNU Free Documentation License) na wikipedii: http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosmologia_obserwacyjna Proszę poprawij błądy, dodawaj treści, bezpośrednie na stronach wikipedii. pozdr boud PS: If you don't feel you're a cosmologist or don't want to be on the list, then read the info which should be pasted below (maybe even in Polish, since this is mailman 2.1.5). data base of clusters of galaxies

A data base for clusters of galaxies has been created in Toulouse. This will be complementary to existing databases such as NED http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu and the CDS http://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr It should contain bibliographic data and published observed properties of clusters, it started in October 2001 (according to the announcement, in French, it started in "October 2002" ;) ) and apparently contains a little more than 1500 clusters of which 1470 have flux measurements and 205 have estimated temperatures.
