Title: Independent evidence that the universe is accelerating using
a cosmological standard ruler in a single survey (2QZ-10K)

Abstract:
According to standard Big Bang theory and observations, the Universe
is approximately static in comoving coordinates on large length
scales. Hence, a statistic of density perturbations on a large length
scale can function as a robust standard ruler for geometric
measurements. This standard ruler technique has been applied to the 2
Degree Field Quasar Redshift Survey initial release (2QZ-10K),
yielding strong constraints on both the density parameter, \Omega_m
and on the cosmological constant, \Omega_\Lambda. The 95% confidence
limits are \Omega_m= 0.25\pm0.15, \Omega_\Lambda=0.60\pm0.35.
