Andrzej W seems to have changed the title of my seminar. I guess he
thought the original title was too long and not sexy enough.

Well, here are the real title and abstract.

> Abstract:
> According to standard Big Bang theory and observations, the Universe
> is approximately static in comoving coordinates on large length
> scales. Hence, a statistic of density perturbations on a large length
> scale can function as a robust standard ruler for geometric
> measurements. This standard ruler technique has been applied to the 2
> Degree Field Quasar Redshift Survey initial release (2QZ-10K),
> yielding strong constraints on both the density parameter, \Omega_m
> and on the cosmological constant, \Omega_\Lambda. The 95% confidence
> limits are \Omega_m= 0.25\pm0.15, \Omega_\Lambda=0.60\pm0.35.
